Directors’ Profiles
Nick Clode
Nick graduated as an MoD Technician Apprentice in 1996 and went to work at the Royal Air Force Signals Engineering Establishment Henlow (later DCSA DEI & IS) as a satellite systems designer. While at RAFSEE, Nick gained a BEng (Hons) degree in electrical and electronic engineering and led the development of a novel SNMP-based remote management system.
In 2000, Nick left the MoD to work for Redwing Satellite Systems, a commercial satellite service provider. His role as Sales Engineer provided him with a wealth of experience in commercial satcom including: access planning, regulatory issues and network design and implementation.
In 2003, Nick was asked to join SystemWare Europe Ltd. to provide satellite systems design, installation and support for the MoD and other customers. Additionally, Nick worked on the development of novel systems and installations for UHF satcom. Nick Left SystemWare in 2007 and formed TWM Systems, along with fellow director, Tom Cole.
Tom Cole
Until May 2004, Tom was a Communications Engineering Branch Officer in the Royal Air Force. During his tour at RAFSEE Henlow, he worked with Nick on several major satellite ground station projects. Tom’s role was primarily that of project manager, taking responsibility for project delivery, site management, health and safety and budgets.
Tom’s final tour in the RAF was at the ADGBS IPT at Brampton, where he was the engineering Support Authority and equipment sponsor for the Type 93 and 101 air defence radars.
Tom left the RAF in 2004 to work for SystemWare Europe. His role encompassed project management, health and safety, quality management and the delivery of 3rd/4th line support services to the MoD. |
